Jump To It! Cubs and Beavers Help Haiti Appeal
2010-02-17

2nd Garlinge Beavers, Cubs and Leaders bounced their way to an impressive donation of £1000 for ShelterBox and the Haiti earthquake appeal. The Group held a sponsored bounceathon on inflatable castles at their meeting place on 9th February 2010.

15 Beavers, 13 Cubs and 5 Leaders worked up a sweat during the energetic event that will pay for two Shelter Boxes for people who have been left helpless and homeless in the wake of the disaster.

Leader Sue Cook said: “It was great fun and a fabulous effort. The boys were really keen to do what they could to help others less fortunate than themselves.”

The inflatables were donated free by Caribbean Castles following a local radio appeal for help.
Sue added: “We are extremely grateful to everyone that supported us do our bit for the Haiti appeal.”
